Canada Post

Canada Post: Vancouver, BC

After 50 plus years of epoxy and vinyl tile flooring, Canada Post had enough with continuous re-application and decided to get back to the basics with a polished concrete floor. Star Floors worked diligently in 2 phases over 6 weeks, to remove the epoxy and mastic, and install the RetroPlate system over 64,000 square feet of existing concrete floor. Feedback from the postal workers has been terrific as they are happy to be working in a clean, bright environment. Although it is too early for a formal opinion from building maintenance, we’re sure they will notice and appreciate the time and money saved cleaning their floor since installation of the RetroPlate system.

HTC-650HDX Grinding Equipment

Star Floors welcomes the addition of our recently purchased HTC-650 HDX Dustless grinding/polishing equipment from HTC America. This new piece of equipment compliments our already established list of capable grinding/polishing/prep machinery. What makes it different from what we already have?

  • New generation hubs built by Volvo replace the old baring technology increasing the lifespan of the machine.
  • They say 2 heads are better than 1 and in this case 4 heads are better than 3. The addition of 1 more planetary head increases grinding/polishing production allowing us to work more effectively. All this from a machine that is SMALLER than its big brother the HTC800.
